Kyo no oto ink: Imayouiro

TAG Stationery inks are something special: this company from Kyoto, the stronghold of Japanese arts and crafts, combines tradition and modernity. Colors, which are known for centuries and are provided with appropriate meaning, are mixed here to a high-quality ink. All colors of the Kyo no oto series were also used in this way in traditional woodblock printing in Japan.

The red-pink of this ink corresponds to the hue that can be obtained from safflower. This color was one of the most popular colors for dyeing clothes during the Heian period.
