Chibien translates as "little pencil": This cool brass ballpoint pen from Tetzbo looks like a freshly sharpened pencil and was handcrafted by artist and blacksmith Yoshikazu Takai.

The ballpoint pen develops a patina over time due to the brass. It is 110 mm long and has a diameter of 8 mm. It weighs approximately 26 g. It is filled with a black 0.7 mm SXR-89-07 refill. Therefore, the CHIBIEN 7 is slightly larger and thinner than the CHIBIEN 8.

Tetzbo was founded by Japanese artist Yoshikazu Takai. Originally a sculptor, his sculptures can be found in public spaces throughout Japan. From large-scale sculptures, he turned to fine stationery. His incredibly beautiful and unique pens reflect his sculptural background, yet retain the depth and complexity one would expect from his work.
