Pennonia Shimmer Additive - Burgundy Red

Need a little glitter? Then the shimmer additive from Pennonia is the solution!

The shimmer additive is based on mica particles, as they are also used in the cosmetics industry. They are supplied in liquid form, which has the great advantage that there is no dust flying around when mixing and it is very easy to dose the glitter particles.

As a dosage basis, Máté from Pennonia states that 1 to 3 drops should be used per 5 ml of ink. They are mixable with all Pennonia inks and can be easily used in this combination in fountain pens. He himself then recommends the TWSBI fountain pens with an M nib, so that the ink duct does not block when writing.* But this is something everyone should try out for themselves.

The advantage of these additives is the wide range of combinations of 32 Pennonia inks and the 15 different shimmer liquids. No guarantee can be given for mixing these shimmer additives with other inks. Pure calligraphic use with nibs is recommended here.

* This is a problem with all glitter inks: of course they can clog the ink duct. But all glitter inks can be washed out easily, so that this does not take any damage.
