Your fountain pen should be cleaned regularly: when the ink has dried up or when you want to change the color of the ink. Or if you're using pigmented inks or shimmer inks, these can easily settle in the ink feeder and cleaning with just water is a bit more difficult.
This is where the fountain pen cleaner set from Octopus comes in handy. The fountain pen cleaning fluid effortlessly removes even dried ink residue. The two hose adapters allow you to clean all possible types of fountain pens - depending on the cartridge system. The snorkel allows you to flush ink converters.

- 100 ml cleaning liquid
- 1 syringe
- Two hose adapters with different inner diameters: the smaller size is suitable for fountain pens with a standard cartridge system (e.g. Pelikan, Diplomat, Faber Castell, Kaweco, Cleo Scribent, Caran D'Ache, Waterman with a 2.6 mm mandrel), the larger one is suitable for fountain pens like Parker or Lamy with 3.2 mm mandrel.
- 1 blunt cannula for cleaning any size converter
And this is how you clean your fountain pen with the set:
- Remove the cartridge or converter.
- Choose the appropriate hose adapter and attach it to the cleaning syringe.
- Fill the syringe with clear, cold or lukewarm water, place the end of the hose adapter on the piercer of the fountain pen and carefully push the contents of the syringe through the ink feed and nib.
- Draw up approx. 5 ml of fountain pen cleaner with the syringe, put the hose adapter back on the piercing pin and let the contents of the syringe flow slowly through the spring unit. Leave the cleaning liquid on for 5 minutes or more.
- Then rinse the spring unit again with water. Make sure that no residue of the filler cleaner remains in the spring unit.
For stubborn dirt, repeat the process a second time. Then let all components of the fountain pen dry well.
