Okamoto Shoten is a weaving mill in Fukuoka, Japan, that still masters the traditional weaving art of kasuri. In this technique, all threads are painstakingly dyed with indigo before being woven. The patterns are created by tying off the threads before dyeing. This is why the patterns all have slight inaccuracies.
The bags are made from these small works of art. They are lined with a second layer of cotton for added stability. They close with a zipper at the top.
15.5 x 10 cm in size.
