Scribo Piuma Hane Kuro

The second edition from Scribo, in collaboration with the Urushi masters of Yamanaka-Onsen. Luca from Scribo beautifully describes how this color combination came about:

"There really is something mysterious and magical about Japan.
We admired shy landscapes, almost hidden under the endless falling snow, on our journey at the beginning of 2025.
Even more surprising was our encounter with the Urushi masters, with whom we began working last year. Seeing the manufacturing process of our fountain pens in action using such an ancient technique, where every movement is executed slowly and precisely, striving for perfection, was an almost mystical experience.
And on that dark night, a green reflection of the lights of the traditional houses of Yamanakaonsen caught our eye...

The quiet elegance of deep green
There is a color that eludes grasp, like a thought that vanishes at dawn.
A green hidden in the black, vibrant and mysterious, revealing itself only to those who can pause and truly look.
Thus, PIUMA HANE Kuro was born – the second jewel in our PIUMA Urushi collection.
Following the reddish-brown hue of the first edition, this new creation draws its vitality and mystery from the night: a dark, fluid, deep green that emerges like an unexpected reflection, like a whisper in the shadows.

There is no better way to describe this magical color combination of the Hane Kuro: the green lacquer, which is timidly glimpsed through the black lacquer, which becomes increasingly transparent over time.

We were able to secure two fountain pens from this series for our customer. The limited edition of 100 pens sold out almost immediately. We offer this fountain pen in the combination with platinum-plated fittings and nib, as this best enhances the mystique.
