The Sailor Professional Gear "Hachikō" is a Limited Edition developed exclusively for the European market, with a total of 250 pieces.
It is named after the Akita Inu Hachikō, whose story is still considered in Japan to be a symbol of extraordinary loyalty. Hachikō regularly accompanied his owner to Shibuya Station and waited for him there after work. Even after his owner's death, the dog continued to return to the station for many years.
The Akita Inu originally comes from the mountainous regions of Japan's Akita Prefecture and was traditionally used as a strong hunting dog. The breed is particularly associated with dignity, courage and pronounced loyalty. These characteristics form the thematic background of the edition.
The fountain pen is based on the regular Sailor Professional Gear. Compared to the Slim version, it has a larger body and a correspondingly more generously sized 21-carat gold nib. It offers the precise and controlled writing experience typical of Sailor.
