Kobe Ink Chapel Emerald

A collaboration between Kobe Ink and Kobe Shoin Women's University.

The chapel, the landmark of Kobe Shoin, is decorated with 55 stained-glass panels created by Etsuko Tachibana in 1981. The theme is taken from a biblical story, and the light display, which revolves around the chapel throughout the day, reflects a constantly changing appearance of the chapel as the seasons and time change.

The color of the Chapel Emerald is reminiscent of the soft light that falls through the stained glass windows.
